All animals that entered this centre were tested for Tuberculosis, Brucellosis, Leptospirosis and Johnes Disease. The disease free status is monitored and tested
by our veterinarian. Premier Deer Farm has been a closed herd to live animals since 1992. |
Animals within the collection centre are routinely vaccinated each year for the following diseases; Pulpy Kidney, Tetanus, Black Disease, Malignant Odema, Blackleg
and Cheesy Gland. No other vaccination schedules are used |

Anaplasmosis, Theileriasis and Babesiosis are tick-born tropical diseases. There have been no reported incidences of these diseases or the
tick vector in the district. |

Western Australia is Johnes Disease free, unlike Eastern Australia and New Zealand. |

Australia is at the bottom of a major Asian Blue Tongue epidemic area. The South West of Western Australia is at the most southern and western extreme
of Australia, being separated from the north and east by major deserts. This makes the area a very safe Blue Tongue free area. |
